An Israeli electronics company for defense Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdak: Eslt;; level:EsltA $ 80 million contract was granted by the Israeli Ministry of Defense for Defense and Initial Installation of the Air Advanced Self-Protection Group on the F-16I fleet.
Elbit Systems already provides a group of defense systems for different types of aircraft and helicopters, based on advanced technologies. Customers include these products NATO countries and the European Union. Under the contract, the company will prepare the Israeli Air Force with advanced self-protection suites designed to increase the ability of the F-16I alive, allowing it to work safely in hostile environments. The wing will include a solution to a modern electronic war (EW) integrated with a system of warning and detection of advanced electric negative missiles (EO), allowing reinforced protection from a wide range of threats that enhance safety from both crew and platforms.
