However, in the medium and long term, forecasts indicate that Ripple’s XRP is ideally positioned for massive capital inflows: even Solana (SOL) could overtake Ripple’s XRP in terms of demand and help XRP prices rise. This is the result of the analysis conducted by the famous bank JPMorgan Chase. This assumes that both SOL and XRP will receive an ETF (exchange-traded fund) – as has already been the case with Bitcoin and Ethereum. Matthew Siegel, a senior cryptocurrency analyst, optimistically quotes the forecast:
“ETP assets ($108 billion) represent 6% of the total market cap of Bitcoin ($1,874 billion) after the first year of ETP trading; similarly, the share of Ether ETF assets ($12 billion) in the total market cap of Ethereum ($395 billion) USD) during the first six months of launch amounts to 3%.
If the so-called “adoption rates” are now applied to SOL and XRP, the forecast will produce an optimistic picture for the coins: SOL could thus attract around $3 to $6 billion in net new assets – and XRP between $4 to $8 billion.
